Chef Jennifer Dobbertin, the powerhouse behind Tenko Ramen, brings you Best Quality Daughter, an inventive restaurant concept pioneering New Asian-American cuisine. Dobbertin, a second-generation Chinese American, took inspiration from her travels and the comfort food of her youth for Best Quality Daughter, which she began as a series of popular pop-up dinners alongside Chef Anne Ng and artist Jennifer Ling Datchuk. A warm, fun, and gorgeous environment serves as a culinary beacon to locals and travelers alike.

More About Us
“Dobbertin's new Pearl showcase is like floating through dreamscapes...The chopsticks, the plates, the carryout bags, all of it a symphony of light and color by some of San Antonio's best designers and architects. In the spirit of that carefully crafted image, the kitchen follows through with a sense of adventure and a sense of humor, led by Dobbertin.”
“Get excited for something tangibly new and tasty by way of Best Quality Daughter...Prepare to gawk as you step through four distinct dining rooms loosely based around the concept of the “Four Symbols” that appear in Chinese constellations. Pair menu items like Thai curry babaganoush, twice baked bananas and mochi gnocchi with cocktails like the Drinking Alone With The Moon while waxing poetic about the oh-so-spirited wallpaper. This place delivers.”
“The concept’s menu features Chinese, South Texas, and Southeast Asian influences, and includes such standout items as chorizo, egg, and cheese pot stickers; fat-noodle short rib; and Taiwanese popcorn fried chicken.”
